People should court arrest in support of Anna's movement: Dr Sandeep Pandey

[हिंदी] Growing number of citizens are organizing themselves to support Anna Hazare, when he begins his fast tomorrow in Mumbai to strengthen his campaign against corruption. "We appeal to the citizens that when Anna Hazare sits on the fast in Mumbai then they should also organize a demonstration or a public fast in their local area and then court arrest at the district headquarters or nearest police station" said Dr Sandeep Pandey, Magsaysay Awardee and noted social activist with National Alliance of People's Movements (NAPM), Asha Parivar and Lok Rajniti Manch.

"I will be sitting on a fast at Asha Ashram, Village Lalpur, Post (and Police Station) Atrauli, (Hardoi district) during 27-29 December 2011, and then cort arrest on 30th December at Atrauli Police Station with other supporters" said Dr Pandey.

Regarding the forthcoming Vidhan Sabha elections, Dr Sandeep Pandey appealed to the citizens that they should not vote for any corrupt political party or its candidates and consider voting for an honest candidate, even if that candidate is standing in elections as an independent or has bleak chance of winning the elections. Those who vote for corrupt political party or candidate will be contributing to fuelling corruption, said Dr Pandey.
