Dr Kuldeep Singh Sachdeva, Deputy Director General at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, has kindly consented to deliver the June 2017 e-talk as part of the Shanti Devi Memorial Health Justice Lecture Series.
Dr Sachdeva is currently one of the key leaders at the national AIDS programme in India. Prior to this, he made seminal contribution to shaping the national tuberculosis programme of India and also had two decades of clinical work at a prestigious tertiary level hospital in India's capital Delhi.
The lecture will be chaired by one of the children of late Shanti Devi Shankhdhar who continues to champion health and social causes: Prof Rama Kant, WHO Director General's Awardee; former Chief Medical Superintendent of King George's Medical University and Gandhi Memorial and Associated Hospitals; 2012 President of Association of Surgeons of India; former Vice President of SAARC Surgeons and President of Lucknow College of Surgeons.
