SHE and Rights Media Initiative 2024-2025

Sexual Health with Equity (SHE) and Rights initiative (or SHE & Rights initiative) is launched to increase media understanding and engagement around sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) particularly abortion care with the lens of equity and right to health.

Co-hosted by Asia Pacific Media Alliance for Health and Development (APCAT Media), Asian-Pacific Resource & Research Centre for Women (ARROW), International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), Women's Global Network for Reproductive Rights (WGNRR), Global Center for Health Diplomacy and Inclusion (CeHDI) and CNS, this initiative was launched around Safe Abortion Day 2024.


SHE and Rights - Media Fellowships 2024-2025

In the lead up to 2024 Safe Abortion Day (and before regional reviews of Beijing+30 in Africa and Asia Pacific), we welcome journalists and other media actors to engage in SHE and Rights - Media Fellowships 2024-2025.
  • SHE and Rights Media Fellowships will be awarded to those who:
    • Attend at least 4 out of 6 e-learning/ online sessions (once a month, 1.5-2 hours duration) held during 25th September 2024 – March 2025
    • Submit media reports published/ broadcasted which are based on at least 4 out of 6 e-learning/ online sessions and in-country interviews/ ground reports or other analyses
  • SHE and Rights – Media Fellowships will be awarded with an e-certificate award and special recognition and spotlight in a high-level SHE and Rights - Fellowship award ceremony around World Health Day 2025
