SHE & Rights | Impact on gender justice and health during conflicts or other humanitarian crises


The seventh session of SHE & Rights (Sexual Health with Equity & Rights) will be organised on the theme: "Impact on gender justice and health during conflicts or other humanitarian crises." It will also feature highlights of The Lancet Commission on Gender and Global Health report released earlier this month.

  • Bertho Makso, Regional Community Engagement & Networks Lead, International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) Arab World Regional Office
  • Nelly Munyasia, Executive Director, Reproductive Health Network of Kenya
  • Dr Ravi Verma, Executive Director, International Centre for Research on Women (ICRW) Asia and one of the Commissioners of The Lancet Commission on Gender and Global Health
  • Shobha Shukla, Coordinator, SHE & Rights and Founder Executive Director, CNS (Host)

This session supports the call for justice for Perwen, Maryam and all other gender diverse peoples everywhere. Gender justice is a fundamental human right and critical to advance progress towards all SDGs.

SHE & Rights session is together hosted by Global Center for Health Diplomacy and Inclusion (CeHDI), International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), Asian-Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women (ARROW), Women's Global Network for Reproductive Rights (WGNRR), Asia Pacific Media Alliance for Health and Development (APCAT Media) and CNS.
